Home Gardening Television: HGTV

There is something for everyone on television these days, and that includes the amateur or professional gardener, as well as those in between. HGTV (Home & Garden Television), is a cable television network in the United States. There is also a Canadian version of the show which simply has slightly different programming and adheres to can-con rules. HGTV is known as one of, if not the most popular home gardening network on television today.

What is HGTV?

On its website, HGTV offers ideas on topics from gardening to decorating, kitchens to baths, remodeling, and even offers frequent contests and reality shows for aspiring designers and gardeners.

With all it has to offer, the home gardening areas of the network, which make up the majority overall, are easily the most popular with the viewers. After all, we all enjoy a beautiful home and garden, and what better way to get ideas, tips, and tricks, than by watching a show completely dedicated to just that?

Home gardening is a popular issue these days, which is probably why HGTV is doing so well. Some of the shows currently airing on HGTV are: Cash in the Attic, Changing Rooms, Designers' Challenge, Design on a Dime, Get Color!, Ground Breakers, Gardening by the Yard, Garden Police, If Walls Could Talk, KidSpace, Landscapers' Challenge, Restore America, Rooms that Rock, Trading Up, and the Worlds Most Extreme Homes - to name a few.

Regardless of how popular home gardening is known to be these days, surprisingly enough there aren't too many shows offering home gardening advice. This is perhaps the most obvious reason for HGTV's continued success over the years, and why they will continue to be a popular and helpful cable television network.

Currently on the HGTV website, there is information on "60 great outdoor ideas", whose list consists of ideas such as: bringing the indoors out, French style veranda, garden theme porch, landscape lighting, life in the garden, outdoor living room, porch swing, a children's play garden, backyard fun for kids, campfire cooking, packing for camping, and more.

These creative and relatively simplistic home gardening ideas are perfect for both beginning and veteran gardeners, and offer fun and attractive ideals for your own home garden.

On their website, there is a vast array of options to choose from; you can basically find answers to almost any gardening question you may have here, and if not, you can contact their customer service online to ask the precise question and get the answer you want.
